Trains Stopped, March To Raj Bhavans: Congress Workers Protest Across Country Over Rahul Gandhi's Detention
New Delhi: Congress workers and youth congress have conducted protest march in several parts of the country after Delhi police forcefully detained Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi, Akhilesh Yadav, and other opposition leaders outside the Prime Minister’s residence today.
The opposition leaders were holding a high-voltage sit-in protest against police action targeting protesting students at Jantar Mantar over the exam irregularities demanding the resignation of the union education minister.
From Kerala to Kashmir, protests erupted across the country after visuals showed the Leader of Opposition being dragged on the road and forcefully put into a police vehicle.
Youth Congress workers in Kerala stopped trains at several Railway stations and conducted protest march to Raj Bhavan. Congress workers staged a protest in Srinagar also, raising slogans in support Rahul Gandhi following his detention by Delhi Police. Congress workers in Bengaluru, Goa, among other places also held protest march over police action against the LoP.
