UP: Man Stabbed, Tied To Bike And Dragged Across Village Succumbed To Death

A man named Mehdi Hassan from Noida of Uttar Pradesh died after he was allegedly stabbed, tied onto a bike and dragged across the village by two men on Saturday night. Police said the attack might be due to the ongoing rivalry between two families.

The two accused were identified as Anuj and Nitin. The miscreants were arrested and are undergoing treatment as the two had allegedly tried to run away during their arrest after snatching police pistol and were injured during the retaliatory action. Reportedly, the two accused brought Mehadi to Baraula (the village in which the incident happened) police station, from where he was spotted by people near by. Though taken to hospital, he succumbed to death, as he was already wounded from several stabs.

The accused were also reported to be from same village. While Anuj works in a private hospital, Nitin has his own business of supplying milk. According to police, there was an argument between the deceased and the accused on Saturday night, which resulted in the brutal incident.

“The two had an encounter with Sector-49 police around 5 am in the morning. Mehndi Hasan was stabbed yesterday by Anuj and Nitin, who died during treatment. When the police were returning with the accused after recovering the evidence of murder, they attacked the cops near Baraula Culvert. The police fired back and the two accused were injured,” said Addition DCP of Noida, Manish Kumar Mishra. CCTV footage of the incident also went viral on social media.
