Woman Dies After Man Runs Over 2 In Jaipur

In Jaipur, a tragic incident unfolded as a woman lost her life when a man, identified as Mangesh Arora, deliberately ran over her with a car after a heated argument. The distressing event, captured on CCTV, occurred outside a hotel in the Jawahar Circle area in Rajasthan capital during the early hours of Tuesday, according to local authorities.

Disturbing visuals from the CCTV footage depict Mangesh Arora running over the victim, Uma, and her friend Rajkumar. The video captures a group of men attempting to intervene, with one person trying to stop the car. Despite their efforts, Mangesh proceeded to drive his car over Uma and her friend.

Uma succumbed to her injuries on the spot, while Rajkumar was promptly rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

Hailing from Madhya Pradesh, Uma worked in Jaipur alongside her friend Rajkumar. The tragic incident unfolded outside a hotel on Girdhar Marg in the Jawahar Circle police station area around 5:30 am and 6 am on Tuesday, as reported by SHO Dalbeer Singh to news agency ANI.

Singh explained that Mangesh, accompanied by his girlfriend, had been consuming alcohol at the location. Following some time, they began making inappropriate comments directed at Uma. When Rajkumar objected to the comments, Mangesh claimed to already know him. The situation escalated, resulting in a confrontation between Mangesh and his girlfriend and Uma and Rajkumar in front of the hotel. Subsequently, Mangesh left but returned shortly thereafter in his car, deliberately running over Rajkumar and Uma.
