
Youth Lynched To Death By Mob In Mangaluru; 19 Arrested (Photo on X@HateDetectors)
Mangaluru, Karnataka: In a shocking case of mob lynching, an unidentified man, suspected to be a migrant daily wage labourer, was allegedly killed by a group of over 25 men during a cricket match held near Bhatra Kallurti Temple in Kudupu, Mangaluru, on Sunday afternoon.
The incident occurred at around 3 pm. The victim had reached the venue of the match, and the lynching took place after a scuffle broke out over some issues. The identity of the victim and the motive of the assault are yet to be found.

According to Mangaluru City Police Commissioner Anupam Agrawal, the post-mortem revealed that the youth had internal injuries on his back and died due to blood haemorrhage and shock. Police have registered a case of unnatural death (UDR) with suspicion at Mangaluru Rural Police Station.
The youth was assaulted by the mob using hands, sticks and kicks, the police said. Though bystanders tried to intervene, the attackers allegedly continued to beat, leading to the victim’s death.
Stating that the identity of the victim is yet to be established, the commissioner noted that the man aged between 35 and 40 is most likely to be a Muslim.
The Mangaluru Rural Police Station received information about the discovery of an unidentified body near the Bhatra Kallurti Temple on Sunday. Local police visited the scene and conducted a preliminary inspection. A post-mortem was conducted on Monday, and it found that the cause of death was internal bleeding and shock due to multiple strong blows to the back. Lack of timely medical attention also worsened the situation.
To identify the deceased, the police have circulated a photograph of the body.

Police are interrogating the witnesses and suspects. Fifteen of the accused have already been arrested. The arrested accused have been identified as Sachin T, Devdas, Manjunath, Saideep, Nitesh Kumar, Dixit Kumar, Sandeep, Vivian Alwaris, Sridatta, Rahul, Pradeep Kumar, Manish Shetty, Dhanush, Dixit and Kishore Kumar.
