“Are Muslims Not Human?” Aryan’s Mother Asks After Cow Vigilante Attack (image-twitter/screengrab/ zoo_bear)
A 19-year-old Class 12 student was shot and killed after being mistaken for a cattle smuggler in Haryana’s Faridabad.
The accused chased the victim’s car for 25 km before killing him. Five people were arrested in connection with the incident.

“Are Muslims not human, Are they not our brothers? Why would you kill a Muslim?” Uma, the mother of the 19-year-old asked after the tragic incident.
The grief-stricken mother while speaking to Journo Mirror further said, “They shot my son thinking he was a Muslim. Are Muslims not Human, Are they not our brothers? Why would you kill a Muslim? Muslims protect us”.
Uma’s statement comes right after Anil Kaushik reportedly told Aryan’s father, Siyanand Mishra, that his son’s killers thought Aryan was a Muslim and now regrets killing a Brahmin.

Aryan was shot in the head and right shoulder near the Gadpuri after being chased by Hindutva men led by a self-claimed “cow protector” and local Hindutva leader Anil Kaushik for about 50 km.
Aryan’s father said after he visited the local jail in Faridabad to meet Anil Kaushik, “He (Anil Kaushik) said he thought my son was a Muslim. Now he regrets killing a Brahmin”.
In return, Siyanand asked Kaushik why would he have to kill a Muslim because of a cow and could have shot at the car wheel or called the police. “Why take the law in your hands?” he asked.
Aryan was going out with his friends Harshit and Shanky in a Duster car around midnight on August 23 to eat noodles.
Kaushik, who is locally known as the “Monu Manesar of Faridabad,” is notorious for his anti-Muslim actions. He is a member of the Bajrang Dal, a Hindutva group.
The Hindutva group opened fire from the back and a bullet hit Aryan’s back. The second bullet had hit on his chest. Though he was rushed to the hospital, he died a day later.
The accused were identified as Anil Kaushik, Varun Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Adesh Singh, and Saurav Kumar.
