Education Consultancy Used As Cover For Drug Smuggling; Two Arrested In Kozhikode
Two men who were smuggling drugs from Bengaluru under the cover of running an education consultancy were arrested by the City DANSAF (District Anti-Narcotics Special Action Force) and a police team led by Kasaba Sub-Inspector Saneesh, according to Manorama News.
The arrested have been identified as Muhammed Irfan (29) of Thiruvannur, and Shahad (27) of Kundungal MC House. Police recovered 250 grams of MDMA, 90 ecstasy pills, and 99 LSD stamps (1.5 grams) from them.

Police told Manorama News that the seized drugs are worth over ₹50 lakh in the illegal market. The police had been monitoring the group running the Dream Path Education Consultancy at Mankavu after receiving information that they frequently travelled to Bengaluru.
The DANSAF team kept a close watch after learning that the duo had again gone to Bengaluru last week. On Monday morning, the suspects reached the new bus stand by a private bus.

During questioning, the accused revealed that the drugs were being transported in another bus. Police then recovered a water heater booked by the suspects on the next bus, according to Manorama News.
They had hidden the drugs inside the heater using stickers. They were arrested by the team led by Kasaba SI Saneesh. The accused confessed that they had used the same method earlier as well. Police told Manorama News that the drugs were meant to be supplied mainly to students in the city.
The investigation team included DANSAF SI Manoj Ettayadathu, ASIs K. Akhilesh and Aneesh Moosan, SCPOs Sunoj Karayil, Latheesh, Sarun Kumar, Sreesanth, Kasaba SI Saneesh, SCPOs Shijith, Vipin Chandran, and CPOs Abdurahman and Anoop Irshad.
