Mundakkai, the epicenter of the landslides in Wayanad, has remained isolated, and heartbreaking stories of helpless people stranded were all that is coming out since the tragedy struck the hill region. Visuals of demolished houses, vehicles, and bodies being recovered from the rivers showed the extent of the destruction due to the massive landslide.
