Kerala Records Historic 78.27% Turnout In Assembly Polls

Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala: Yesterday witnessed an enthusiastic polling day, with voters turning out in large numbers to decide the fate of candidates in the Kerala Assembly elections. The polling recorded a strong turnout of 78.27 percent, marking one of the highest voter participation rates in recent decades.

The polling percentage is particularly significant as it is considered the highest turnout recorded since 1987, highlighting the strong public interest in this election.

All major political fronts have expressed confidence that the high voter turnout will work in their favour. The United Democratic Front (UDF) claims that it will secure around 85 seats and return to power. Meanwhile, the Left Democratic Front (LDF) is hopeful of winning up to 83 seats. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has also expressed optimism, claiming it could win at least three seats in the state.

The remarkable polling percentage recorded yesterday is expected to play a crucial role in shaping the electoral outcome. Political observers note that the turnout could potentially rewrite electoral history in Kerala, reflecting the strong engagement of voters in the democratic process.
