Kerala Transport Minister and actor KB Ganesh Kumar is out of the chaos after a forensic report confirmed that the signature on his father’s will was genuine.
This comes after his sister, Usha Mohandas alleged that Kumar had forged their father’s signature to acquire a major share of the family’s assets.
The forensic report has dismissed the forgery allegations. The family inheritance dispute has also been resolved.
Ganesh’s father, R. Balakrishna Pillai, was a renowned politician who served as MLA, MP, and State Minister. He passed away in 2021.
The allegations had caused a stir in Ganesh Kumar’s political career, delaying his inclusion in the cabinet despite winning a record fifth term in the Pathanapuram constituency in 2021.
However, in 2023, Kumar was inducted as the State Minister of Transport after a mid-term reshuffle. Throughout the ordeal, Kumar maintained his innocence, and a witness corroborated his claims.
Some said on the social media platform that the forensic report clearing his name, Ganesh Kumar’s political stature has received a slight boost as Kerala gears up for the next assembly elections in 2026.
He’s been a Member of the Kerala Legislative Assembly, representing Pathanapuram since 2001, and is the Chairman of the Kerala Congress (B) party.
