As the massive landslides in Chooralmala and Mundakkai, Wayanad, Kerala wreaked mayhem, the Uralungal Labour Contract Co-operative Society (ULCCS) is working closely with the Indian Army and the Government of Kerala on the rescue mission in various affected departments.
They have been able to provide the necessary equipment, vehicles, cutting machines, engineers, expert workforce, food, clothing, and other essential resources for the rescue efforts. ULCCS Labourers and Operators are tirelessly working alongside Army Engineers to cast the Bailey Bridge in the area.

ULCCS machinery and labourers are camped at the stricken site since yesterday morning along with surveyors and engineers who are there for any related intervention. The firm has already deployed earth-moving equipment to support the Indian Army.

As people witness a remarkable view of coordination efforts, the Indian Army, ULCCS along with the Coast Guard, Indian Navy and IAF are relentlessly working to rescue people using man-made bridges and other heavy equipment transported and deployed by the ULCCS.
People who are stuck in the deep puddles under the residue are taken up using the heavy crane deployed by the ULCCS and the electrical generators have been reached to aid the affected area to cope with the power outage.
At least 205 people have died and around 225 people are still missing after a series of landslides struck the district. The bodies of 89 victims have been identified while postmortem procedures of 143 dead bodies have been completed so far.
