Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra Day 2: “Want To Make Manipur Peaceful, Harmonious Once Again,” Says Rahul Gandhi

Imphal, January 15: As thousands of people waited along the road to greet Rahul Gandhi on the second day of his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra today, the former Congress president assured the people of Manipur that he will ensure to make Manipur peaceful and harmonious once again.

In his brief address to the people along the Yatra here today, Rahul Gandhi said, the purpose of starting the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from Manipur, was to send a powerful message across the country and make the people aware of what people of Manipur have been going through.

He said, he has been meeting a number of people and he can feel and understand their pain and tragedy they have gone through. He said he understood what it meant to lose family members and property in the violence.

Rahul Gandhi hoped that the peace and harmony returned to Manipur as soon as possible.

On the second day of the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, Rahul Gandhi interacted with a cross section of people. He regularly dismounted from the bus he is travelling in, to speak to people who were waiting for him on the roads with the national tricolor in their hands.

The Congress leader also marched on foot at several places and was joined by hundreds of party workers and common people. He greeted them while a number of people clicked selfies with him.

Rahul Gandhi-led Bharat Jodo Yatra’s second Phase ‘Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra’ will cover more than 6700 km in 66 days passing through 110 districts.
