BJP Fields Janardan Mishra From Rewa Lok Sabha Constituency For Third Consecutive Time

Edited by Fathimathu Shana

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has once again expressed its confidence in the sitting MP Janardan Mishra in Rewa. The party gave him ticket to contest for the upcoming Lok Sabha election from Rewa constituency.

This is the third time BJP is fielding Mishra. He was first given ticket to the Lok Sabah election in 2014, from Rewa constituency and he secured the seat. During the 2019 Lok Sabah election, he retained the seat by defeating Congress’ Sidharth Tiwari Raj. Mishra has been active in politics while he was student. He served as BJP’s district president for two consecutive terms.

After getting ticket to contest for the third time, he thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other party leaders. He said BJP is a party in which its worker is tested, seen and trusted. He then took a jibe at opposition leader Rahul Gandhi’s Baharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra and said that wherever Gandhi set foot, there is division.

Mishra grabbed headlines last month by making the sound of a cuckoo bird. While addressing an event, he made the sound as soon as he took the mike. People appeared to enjoy the sound asking him to do it once again. Using the opportunity, Mishra promoted Modi government. He said the country is becoming a developed nation and the Prime Minister is building a self-reliant nation. He said India will become a developed country by 2047.

Last year, he strongly responded to Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Sanatana Dharma controversy. He said that while all the opposition are talking about burying Modi, the public says whoever talks about Sanatana Dharma, will be buried alive, without any consideration of which party he is from.
