In a shocking incident reported from Madhya Pradesh‘s Rewa district, a nine-year-old girl was sexually assaulted and murdered by her 13-year-old brother after watching porn on mobile phone. Police probe revealed that their mother and two elder sisters, aged 17 and 18, helped him in the cover-up.
It was on April 24 morning, the Madhya Pradesh Police received information that the body of a girl was lying in the courtyard of a house in the state’s Rewa district. The post-mortem report pointed evidence relating to rape and murder and an SIT team was constituted for the investigation.

In order to misguide the probe, the family members had told the police that the girl died after being bitten by a poisonous insect, the Rewa SP Vivek Singh told the media.
During the investigation, Police failed to locate sign of anybody entering the house, and family also denied hearing any sound during the night.
Then, after being repeatedly interrogated, they confessed to their crime.
“After collecting technical evidence and interrogation of 50 people, police found repeated changes in the statements of the family members. On the basis of suspicion, they were intensely interrogated, following which they admitted the crime,” the news agency PTI reports as Rewa SP is saying.
In the interrogation it came to know that the boy had slept beside the victim at that night and sexually assaulted her after watching porn videos on the mobile phone. The boy strangled her when she threatened to complain to their father. Later, he woke up his mother and told her about the incident. She then found her daughter was still alive. On seeing that, the boy strangled her again, the police reports.

The investigation also found that the two elder sisters, who had woken up after the incident, changed the spot of their bed to mislead the probe.
The boy and his family members have been detained and legal steps are being taken, the Rewa SP said.
