In the Lok Sabha seat of Maharashtra, Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate Omprakash Rajenimbalkar won by securing 748,752 votes. He has won from Osmanabad Lok Sabha constituency by defeating Archana Patil, NCP candidate with a vote margin of 329,846 votes.

Omprakash Rajenimbalkar is fielded as the Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate. He is the member of the parliament from the constituency. He has also served as the member of legislative assembly.

While, the Ajit Pawar led NCP fielded Archana Patil as its candidate from the constituency. She is the wife of Rana Jagjitsinh Patil, BJP MLA from Tuljapur assembly constituency.

The constituency was dominated by the Congress party for over 44 years from 1956 to 1996. From 1984 to 1996, Arvind Kamble was elected as the MP on Congress ticket for three consecutive terms. Later in 2009, Padmasinha Patil in NCP ticket won the seat.

The current MP from the constituency is Ravindra Gaikwad. In the 2014 Lok Sabha election, Shiv sena candidate Ravindra Gaikwad won the seat by securing 607,699 votes and defeated the NCP candidate Padmasinh Bajiaro Patil with a margin of 234,325 votes.

In the 2019 election, Omprakash Bhupal Singh of Shiv Sena won from the seat with 596,640 votes and the Congress candidate Rana Jagjit Singh came second with 469,074 votes and VBAs Arjun Dada Salgar came third with 98,579 votes.

The Maha Vikas Agadhi has toppled the exit poll results and has won from the state sweeping majority of the seats.
