Lok Sabha Election Results 2024: Abhishek Banerjee Registers A Historic Win From Diamond Harbour With Over 7.1 Lakh Votes

TMC Supremo’s nephew and party national secretary candidate Abhishek Banerjee created a remarkable win in the Diamond Harbour constituency. Currently, as per the Election Commission’s voting trends, Abhishek Banerjee has secured 7,10,930 which is historic in the election history. Previously the CPIM candidate Anil Basu won from Arambagh with a margin of 6,82,502 votes in 2004.

Abhishek Banerjee who is also called as second Mamata has reached Mamata Banerjee’s residence in Kalighati after the Trinamool Congress performed successfully in the Lok Sabha Election Results 2024. BJP candidate Abhijit Das was fielded against the TMC candidate. Abhijit Das seemed unhappy with the result-counting process and started to protest in front of the counting center allegedly saying that his supporters were not allowed to be there during the counting process.

As per the Election Commission’s estimate currently, TMC has won 29 seats, BJP 12, and Congress party 1 seat. However, the vote counting is still under process.

Kirti Azad from Bardhman Durgapur, Mahua Moitra from Krishnanagar, and Shatrughan Sinha from Asansol have been declared winners. There is an atmosphere of jubilation at the TMC office and Mamata Banerjee has also addressed the party workers.

On the other hand, BJP office seemed deserted as the party poll telly has come down from its previous number 18 in 2019.
