Is Rahul Gandhi Repeating 2019?: Wayanad MP Is Leading By Over One Lakh

Congress leader and Wayanad sitting MP Rahul Gandhi is leading with a margin of over one lakh votes from his sitting seat. As per the pollsters’ predictions, the Wayanad MP is making big jump as the counting for the 2014 Lok Sabha elections is underway.

The LDF has fielded its national face Annie Raja against the Congress national leader, and is trailing behind the Congress MP. The BJP fielded its state chief K Surendran from the constituency.

Notably, Rahul Gandhi had won the 2019 Lok Sabha election by over four lakh majority, and the party is expecting a similar wave in 2014 too.

The Congress national face is also leading in Rai Bareilly, the second constituency the former chief of the grand old party is contesting from. The Congress leader is leading by around 30,000 lead in the northern constituency. Rahul Gandhi had lost the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from his former seat, Amethi. BJP’s Union Minister Smriti Irani had defeated the Congress leader in his long-held bastion.
