
Railway Applauds 'Rubina Akib Inamadar' For Recording Breaking Single-Day Ticket Checking
Central Railway has shared a post on social media ‘X’ applauding its Travelling Ticket Inspector (TTI) Rubina Akib Inamadar of Tejaswini 2 Batch, Mumbai Division, for a record-breaking single day performance in ticket checking. “A truly rockstar single-day performance!”, said Central Railway in the social media post.

“Rubina Inamadar detected a total of 150 irregular/without-ticket cases, generating ₹45,705 in ticket checking revenue, including ₹16,430 from 57 without-ticket cases in First Class”, said the railway.

Indian Railways faces revenue challenges due to various ticket-related issues, including ticketless travel. In the fiscal year 2022-23, Indian Railways penalised nearly 36 million passengers for travelling without valid tickets and collected nearly Rs 2,200 crores in fines. In 2021-22, the collection was 27 million and in 2019-2020, it was 11 million.
