Viral Video - UPSC: The Popular Adventure Sport!

“UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) exam is the current favourite adventure sport in India!’, said Anurag Minus Verma, a multimedia artist, through a funny video created by himself.

Mr Verma shared the video recently in X (formerly Twitter) and is receiving several ‘brilliant’ comments as appreciation.

“UPSC stands for Ultimately Prioritised Sarkari (Government) Career”, the video says. UPSC or the Civil Services Examination is a national level competitive examination in India conducted for the recruitment to higher Civil Services of the Government of India.

‘If the exam is gambling then Mukherjee Nagar in Delhi is Las Vegas!’, says Mr Varma. “Even the cows in Mukherjee street are eating the Hindu newspaper”, which the aspirants use to refer to in common, he added.

Lakhs of aspirants from various parts of India come and reside in Delhi every year only to enrol and study in the coaching centres in the City.

The video satirically presents the tensions and pressures on a UPSC aspirant, who are not at all concerned about their relations but only on ‘International Relations’, the subject. An aspirant will not keep an affair, but only focus on ‘Current Affairs’, he adds.

Mr Verma is seen flooded with appreciation, like, “Great job”, “Excellent work”.
