PM Modi Touches 100 Million Followers On X, Congress Handle Says "Fake Followers"

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi crossed 100 million followers today on X, formerly a microblogging social media platform with 450 million monthly active users.

“A hundred million on X! Happy to be on this vibrant medium and cherish the discussion, debate, insights, people’s blessings, constructive criticism, and more. Looking forward to an equally engaging time in the future as well,” PM Modi reacted to the milestone, which many have hailed.

However, a Congress-affiliated X handle referenced an old report claiming that more than 60 percent of PM Modi’s X followers are fake. “Congratulations @narendramodi for achieving 60 million fake followers. Great work Malpiya!” the Congress Kerala handle tweeted. The last part of the tweet is aimed at BJP IT Cell head Amit Malviya.

Applauding Prime Minister Modi on the achievement, Home Minister and his long time colleague Amit Shah said “the Modi phenomenon trailblazes on X”.

After congratulating PM Modi on crossing “the staggering 100 million follower mark on X,” Mr Shah called the former “a leader whom the world looks up to” and remains unchallenged as the most followed global leader.

“This achievement is a testament not only to his unparalleled popularity in India but also to his towering statesmanship on the global stage,” Amit Shah wrote on X.
