Prithviraj’s Debut
Prithviraj made his cinema debut through a Malayalam film, Nakshathrakkannulla Rajakumaran Avanundoru Rajakumari, in 2002 at the young age of 18. Later, he worked in films like Parijatham in the same year. He also made films like Classmates, Mozhi, Satham Podathey, Kannamoochi Yenada and others, which are widely celebrated by the audience.
He is also known for films like Indian Rupee, Celluloid, Ayalum Njanum Thammil, Ennu Ninte Moideen, Kaaviya Thalaivan, Salaar: Part1, Lucifer, and others.
Youngest Actor to Win the Kerala State Film
In 2006, he received the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor for the film Vaasthavam, becoming the youngest actor at 24 to win the award at the time.

In a recent interview, Prithviraj shared that his life is all about cinema and he doesn’t know anything other than his passionate craft. Aadujeevitham
It is not the first time Prithviraj, the passionate cinema enthusiast, made heads turn. Prior to L2: Empuraan, Prithvi etched his name as an excellent actor in Indian cinema with his dedicated project Aadujeevitham (The Goat Life). The film, which reportedly went on floors in 2018, hit theatres in 2024. The end result of the production, which spanned over six years, is still an impressive proof of his acting prowess and dedication to the craft.

Lucifer: Prithviraj’s Directorial Debut
Prithviraj made his directorial debut in 2019 with the blockbuster Lucifer starring Mohanlal, Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, Vivek Oberoi in the lead roles. Even though the actor calls himself an “accidental director,” his meticulously executed Lucifer stands as a testimony to his immense knowledge on the directorial spectrum.
Prithviraj’s passion for direction had been burning within him for more than 20 years, which got its life through this political thriller. His extensive observation and exploration throughout his cinematic journey, however, chiseled him to be a fine director.
