Out-of-action UFC star Conor McGregor placed a massive bet on the Portuguese talisman and his close friend Cristiano Ronaldo to win the UEFA EURO 2024 Golden Boot for most goals award.
The Irishman shared his betting slip displaying his bet, ‘CR7 – Cristiano Ronaldo To Win The Golden Boot (Dead Heat Rules Apply)’. He put 60,000 on the Portuguese talisman. However, it is not known whether the ‘Notorious’ made the bet using American Dollars, Euros or Betting Pound Sterling.
“60 G’s on @Cristiano to retain his Euro Golden Boot. Siuuu! #SwipeToSeeTheDoubleBicepCelebration,” the notoriousmma captioned the betting slip picture on Instagram.

The post, however, did not go well amongst the fans because McGregor was questioned for his choice. Ronaldo has failed to find the back of the net in the clash against Czech Republic and called out for ”unity and commitment” ahead of the UEFA Euro 2024 clash against Turkey on Saturday.
“Bro just burned 60k,” read one comment.
Echoing a similar sentiment, another person wrote, “There goes 60gs.”
One social media user cheekily wrote, “U can say goodbye to that 60g’s.”
“That’s not going to happen,” read another reply.
“You just lose your money for no reason,” one person commented.
Another Instagram user wrote, “Should’ve given me some money if you’re just going to throw it all away mate.”
The Portuguese captain is the leading goal-scorer in Euro with 14 goals. He is five goals clear of France’s Michel Platini.
