Young India batting sensation is ready to take up bowling challenge in the ongoing India vs England Test series after displaying his exploits with the bat. Jaiswal is the most runs scorer in the ongoing series with two double centuries, registering his highest score of 214* in the third Test to allow Team India to clinch a mammoth 434 runs win. It was also India”s biggest win in a Test by the margin.

India spin legend Anil Kumble has been mighty impressed with Jaiswal”s batting skills but wants him to display his natural leg spin in the series. Kumble, a part of the expert panel for the host broadcasters, adviced the youngster to talk to his captain Rohit Sharma and allow him to bowl.

“Well done on your batting. But one thing that I have seen which I want you to continue as well is that you have a natural leg spin. Yes, and action. So don”t give up on that. Because you never know when that will come in handy.

“I know you”ve had a back spasm, but when you”re working so much on it. Go tell the skipper to give a few overs,” Kumble told Jaiswal on Jio Cinema.

In response, Jaiswal said: “So I”m always going and bowling, bowling and bowling. He (Rohit) told me to be ready, and I said yes I am ready”.

For those, unversed, Jaiswal was a promising young spinner before breaking into Team India side. It was a part of his game but soon his batting became the most important part of his game. In the List A career, Jaiswal has scalped seven wickets in 13 matches at an average of 53.96.

And now since the Team India captain has already hinted at Jaiswal”s bowling, it will be interesting to see him roll over his arm to take up the challenge in the fourth Test in Ranchi, starting from February 23.
