Premier Mumbai Indians fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah ended up on the losing side in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 clash against Lucknow Super Giants on Tuesday at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium but he won a lot of hearts with his gesture for a young fan.
Bumrah, who continued his economical display in the match against LSG, was seen interacting with a young fan in the stands after the match. The Mumbai Indians stalwart handed his cap to the young fan and signed his placard as the kid was seen running around the stands in joy.
Mumbai Indians captioned the video as “That kid now has a core memory for life 🥹💙”. Their rivals Kolkata Knight Riders also took note of the moment and reshared the video saying “Made a memory he will cherish for a lifetime! Top gesture @Jaspritbumrah93 💜”

The 30-year-old went wicketless in his spell as LSG chased down the below-par target of 145 runs with four balls to spare. Australia all-rounder Marcus Stonis top-scored for the hosts with 62 runs off 45 deliveries with seven boundaries and two hits over the fence.
“I have had the nickname (Hulk) longer compared to Tim David. Nice to bowl with the new ball. Nice role. I didn”t expect to bowl three in the powerplay. Thought the wicket was okay. We could have pushed the envelope and scored faster. But it is a little tricky. It was a dragged down delivery which I got out to. It stuck a little. Was disappointing to get out. Look I have been here, this is my third year. I have built close bonds with the franchise here. Everything is good here,” Stoinis said after the match.
Mumbai Indians are currently at the ninth spot in the IPL 2024 points table with three wins and seven losses.
