Former India captain Virat Kohli joined the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) camp ahead of their inaugural clash against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on March 22.
Kohli, the former RCB captain, was seen arriving at the hotel in a white oversized T-shirt. He exchanged greetings with the hotel team staff and franchise support staff before taking a tour of the gym and expressing his excitement in the video shared by the franchise. It was, incidentally, his first interview after the birth of his son in London.
“It’s really good to be back, firstly playing cricket and just starting off the IPL. Always exciting to come back to Bangalore for the start of the IPL season. So similar emotions, similar feelings and I haven’t been off the media radar. I have been into the normalcy, you can say for 2 months. So, yeah, I am pretty happy and excited to be back and I hope all the fans are excited and happy as well,” Kohli said in a video shared by RCB.

After linking up with the Bengaluru franchise, Kohli took rounds of the M Chinnaswamy Stadium as part of his warm-up. He was accompanied by RCB captain Faf du Plessis. It is expected that Kohli and Faf will be a part of RCB”s unbox event at their home ground on Tuesday.
Kohli”s performance in the lucrative tournament will be important in the build up to the 2024 T20 World Cup in the USA and Caribbean. He had featured in his first T20 in the 2022 World Cup in January against Afghanistan.
RCB will be vying for their first IPL title in the 17th edition of the lucrative tournament.
