After Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and N’Golo Kante, Brazilian super star Neymar Jr is heading to Saudi Professional League. According to reports, Neymar Jr has joined Saudi Arabian football club Al Hilal on a record $300 million package for two years and the player will not be given an option to extend his contract at the Riyadh based club. Football transfers specialist Fabrizio Romano tweeted that the package could go up to a potential $400m in total until 2025 based on add-ons and commercial deals.

Romano also said the deal was completed by Neymar’s father Neymar Santos Sr and super-agent Pini Zahavi.

“Neymar Jr leaves Paris Saint-Germain to sign for Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal. In six seasons in the capital, the Brazilian international left his mark on the history of the Club,” the Paris outfit announced on Tuesday.

Before joining Paris Saint-Germain, the 31 year old player had worn the jerseys of Santos FC and FC Barcelona.

He had scored 71 goals and picked up 37 assists in 138 matches with Santos and left for Europe to join FC Barcelona in the summer of 2013.

Neymar Jr spent four seasons with the Catalan club and scored 105 times and provided 76 assists in 186 appearances.

He joined Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2017. Later, he was reunited with his Barcelona team and member of the deadly MSN (Messi-Suarez-Neymar) trio Lionel Messi. Recently, Lionel Messi left PSG to join MLS side Inter Miami in the US. Interestingly, Lionel Messi was also linked with Al Hilal for a record transfer.

In PSG, over the period of six years, the Brazilian striker has accumulated a total of 118 goals in 173 matches, making him Paris Saint-Germain”s fourth all-time highest scorer, according to a statement from the Paris side.
