PAK Vs AUS: Policeman Stops Fans From Chanting ‘Pakistan Zindabad’

A video of a police officer stopping Pakistani fans from chanting ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ during the World Cup match between Pakistan and Australia has gone viral in the social media.

In the 45 second clip, a Pakistani fan in his team’s jersey is seen arguing with the police officer. He is heard saying in the video, “ I am from Pakistan, if I don’t say ‘Pakistan Zindabad’, what else am I supposed to say?’’ The fan then asks the police offer why cant he chant ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ while other people are allowed to chant ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’.

The Pakistan fan then takes out his phone to record and asked the cop to tell him on video that whether he is allowed to say ‘Pakistan Zindabad’.

The incident took place at the M Chinnaswamy stadium during a match between Pakistan and Australia. Neither the ICC, the international cricket body holding the ODI Cricket World Cup, nor the Bengaluru Police has reacted to the incident yet.

The Pakistan cricket team received plenty of support during their two warm-up and world cup matches in Hyderabad.

While in the match on Friday, Australia smashed Pakistan with a formidable 367 runs. David Warner and Mitchell Marsh recorded brilliant centuries to help Australia score 367 runs. For Pakistan this is the second consecutive loss. Out of four games played, they have two wins and two loss in total.

Pakistan will face Afghanistan on October 23 at M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
