Ravi Bishnoi, an Indian spinner, played a crucial role in India’s 133-run victory over Bangladesh in Hyderabad on Saturday. He picked up three wickets in the first chance he got against Bangladesh.
India had hammered 297 against Bangladesh in the first innings of the match, the highest score by any T20I total by any Test-playing nation in the game’s history. Bishnoi’s impressive 3/30 in four overs helped the team to win the match.

He in the match dismissed Najmul Hossain Shanto, Litton Das and Rishad Hossain.
“When we walked into bowl, Suryakumar Yadav told us that we were defending 160-170 and not 300 as it would help us prepare for matches later on which will have such scores. It was a good surface to bat on but that’s the mentality we had,” Bishnoi said.
Bishnoi has become the youngest to take 50 T20I wickets for India and the second joint-fastest to reach the milestone along with Arshdeep Singh.
In the post-match interview, the cricketer shared his excitement after reaching the milestone. He had also emphasised the importance of self-improvement and adaptability in the game.
“It feels good to see the game from the outside as well. You need to work on yourself and work on things accordingly,” he said.
Reflecting on his recent break from the game, he mentioned, “I had a break for a few days, so I tried to make the most of it,” Bishnoi said.
When Saba Karim who was commentating for the broadcaster asked Bishnoi what the difference was between this Indian team and the others, Bishnoi replies that the main difference was the aggression and it was clear to see in front of everyone.

“This is the new generation, and you can see what the difference is. 298 runs was the target and look how we attacked and bowled them out for 160s. The approach is when you are on the top, be on the top,” Bishnoi said.
“With this Indian team, we have been told by the management that every day is a new day. Once yesterday’s match is done it is done, we cannot live with it,” he further added.
