The Nassau County International Cricket Stadium is set to be dismantled on Friday after playing host to eight matches in the T20 World Cup 2024.

The stadium was constructed in five months with the Group A fixture between India and USA being the last match played at the venue. In a video posted by ANI on their official X account, bulldozers were seen assembling at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium with the temporary stadium set to be dismantled.

The modular components of the stadium will be dismantled and repurposed with the local cricket clubs and fans having access to top-tier turf and infrastructure. As per a report in AFP, it will help to boost the popularity of the sport in the region and provide a platform to develop local talents.

The Nassau International Cricket Stadium most famously played host to the India vs Pakistan clash in the T20 World Cup 2024. Meanwhile, on Wednesday, India survived a scare to clinch victory against the US.
