Did Elon Musk's 'X' Hit An All-Time Record?

US Election Drives X to All-Time Engagement High.

Yes, Elon Musk’s X has just reported a massive surge in user engagement, reaching an all-time high of 434.1 billion user on the second day of voting for the US elections. Now, this marks a milestone from the previous record of 417 billion user-seconds set in July 2024.

The recent spike in activity aligns with the US presidential election results, where Donald Trump secured victory. It’s no surprise that the political climate drove users to engage more heavily on X, especially considering Elon Musk’s open support for the Republican candidate.

Musk’s comments on the platform seemed to validate this, with the CEO posting updates that coincided with periods of high user activity.

The US election has been a battleground for the tech mogul Elon Musk, as he was one of the MVPs who aggressively supported Republican candidate Donald Trump. From the beginning of the campaign to the final countdown, Musk has played a crucial role in supporting Trump, mostly through his X account, which has led to various controversies and discussions.

Musk constantly posted videos and photos of him supporting Donald Trump in the election and had even slammed the opposition, Kamala Harris, and has made derogatory remarks against those who supported her.

It was in July 2024 that Elon Musk announced that his social media platform X reached an all-time high in usage. He claimed that X experienced a whopping 417 billion user seconds globally in just one day, with US users accounting for 93 billion user seconds, a 23 percent increase from the previous record of 76 billion.

This record comes after the attempted assassination of former US President Donald Trump, which drove major engagement on the platform.

Additionally, X has been reportedly working to boost user engagement, which offers free premium features to accounts with over 2,500 verified followers and more extensive benefits for those with over 5,000 followers. In March, X Data reported that the platform had 250 million active users daily spending an average of 30 minutes each on the app.
