As thousands of Meta users reported logging out and non-response on their Facebook and Instagram, the first one to slam the social media giant was none other than Elon Musk, owner of rival platform X.
The billionaire-entrepreneur who bought X years back wrote on his X handle: “If you’re reading this post, it’s because our servers are working”.

Facebook faced an outage that has logged out users. Meta rejected the password, even though the password is not wrong. Instead of showing the skeleton version of the platform, Facebook kicked out users, with an error message popping up. The message read that your log in has expired. When tried to log back in, the credentials were rejected.
As per Downdetector, an outage reporting platform, the outage was at peak around 8:45 pm with over 3,000,00 reports, while around 20,000 reported on Instagram being down. The platform said over 77 percentage of the users reported about the problem. Reportedly, Messenger, Instagram and Threads also showed the same issue. However, after a few minutes of outage, all the Meta platforms are back to working.
