Let’s look at the major feature that is reportedly expected to be unveiled on September 9, 2024.

Rumours show that the upcoming iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro Max will feature a significant camera upgrade that may be sporting a 48MP ultrawide camera that could be a substantial leap from the 12MP sensor in the iPhone 15 Pro.

This new sensor is combined with the increased megapixel count and is expected to deliver much more detailed and higher-quality images in low-light conditions. Additionally, the enhanced camera is anticipated to bring notable improvements to macro mode that allow users for more precise and detailed close-up shots elevating the overall camera experience.

According to a report by 9to5Mac, the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max which are the flagship models are expected to boast advanced video recording features, including the ability to capture 4K videos at 120fps. The report also suggests that QuickTake will be upgraded to support 4K resolution which may enhance the overall video recording experience.

The Cupertino-based Apple is rumoured to expand the availability of the advanced tetraprism camera which is currently found on the iPhone 15 Pro Max. This means that both the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max are anticipated to feature enhanced zoom capabilities with at least 5x optical zoom and up to 25x digital zoom that offers users more flexibility and precision when capturing images.

The leaks also suggest that the company will be incorporating an enhanced Sony sensor into the main camera of the iPhone 16 Pro which could result in significant image quality enhancements. However, it is still uncertain if this new sensor will be reserved for the iPhone 16 Pro Max or if it will be available on both the Pro and Pro Max models.

All four models are rumoured to introduce a dedicated ‘Capture button that allows users to have rapid camera access. This button will be located on the device’s right side which offers users a range of functionalities, including quick app launch, zoom control, exposure adjustment, and shutter release, as per the speculations.
