Nvidia announced and displayed its Blackwell chip series following the succession of the previous flagship chip.

Chip giant Nvidia may face a three-month delay in the launch of its new AI chips due to design flaws, according to the reports. This might affect Meta Platform, Alphabet’s Google and Microsoft as they are expected to purchase billion-dollar worth of AI chips collectively.

Earlier in March, Nvidia announced and displayed its Blackwell chip series following the previous flagship chip, the Grace hopper Superchip which was focused on boosting generative AI applications. The company has already informed their customers especially Microsoft and other major giants who provide cloud service some delay in the production of advanced AI chips, as per the reports.

On the other hand, the company stated that the Broad Blackwell sampling has started, and production is on track to ramp in 2H and the company doesn’t want to comment on rumours, as per an X post.

Following the report, Nvidia’s spokesperson responded in an email that there is a strong demand for Hoppers as the company have already begun the sampling of broad Blackwell and the production is ongoing. Meanwhile, Microsoft, Google, and Meta have not responded to the request for comment and haven’t made a statement about the reports or rumours.
