Samsung has revealed its much-anticipated 2024 TV lineup ahead of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2024. This includes Samsung”s latest Neo QLED 8K, Neo QLED 4K, OLED, Lifestyle, and Micro LED displays. The TV lineup offers AI-powered features along with enhanced picture and sound quality.
The South Korean tech giant is all set to begin the “AI screen era” through the introduction of a next-generation AI processor. According to Samsung, the all-new Neo QLED 8K and 4K TVs offer lifelike picture quality, premium audio technology, and numerous apps and services. Notably, the 2024 Neo QLED 8K is designed with the NQ8 AI Gen3 processor. Samsung claims that its latest TV processor has a neural processing unit (NPU) that is twice as fast as that of the previous version.
The main features of the Neo QLED 8K lineup include “8K AI Upscaling Pro” and “Real Depth Enhancer Pro”. The AI upscaling feature takes lower-resolution content and gives it a higher-resolution feel. Meanwhile, the Real Depth Enhancer Pro helps boost contrast between the foreground and background, even in fast-moving scenes. The Neo QLED 8K lineup also includes an AI Motion Enhancer Pro. This technology recognizes when users are watching sports and helps track fast-moving objects like baseball and football. Samsung has also made improvements to the audio quality. The new Active Voice Amplifier Pro feature separates voices from mixed audio and enhances voice input.
Samsung is also set to offer ultra-large screen sizes in 2024. “Samsung Neo QLED 8K TVs will be available in sizes up to 98” class, and are joined by a refreshed Neo QLED 4K lineup spanning sizes 43” class to 98,” said the company in its statement. Samsung has also unveiled ‘OLED Glare Free’ technology, specifically designed for the S95D series. According to Samsung, the glare-free technology preserves color accuracy and reduces reflections.
