Telegram has recently rolled out a major update with several new features. Telegram announced that they had added ten new features to the platform throughout January. It includes improvements to saved messages and one-time voice and video messages.

Revamped Saved Messages functionality, now dubbed Saved Messages 2.0, is the main highlight of the Telegram update. “This update turns Saved Messages into a powerful storage system for your links, media, and bookmarks,” wrote Telegram in a blog post. Users will be able to view the saved messages by chat or as a compact list and can organize them with tags. Also, the new “View as Chats” mode allows users to see a list of private chats, groups, and channels from which they have forwarded messages. Telegram users can also pin preferred chats to the top.

For enhanced organization, tags have also been added to saved messages. Users will be able to add multiple tags and filter the saved messages. Notably, these are based on emojis. However, users can also use words to name the tags. A new Saved tab has been included in the shared media section. Every chat, groups, and channels has a shared media section, and the all-new saved tab will show all the saved messages from that particular chat.

The popular messaging platform has also improved the search functionality across all chats. Telegram also informed that the view-once setting is now available for voice and video messages. Moreover, while recording a voice or video message, users will be able to pause and then resume recording later, instead of sending multiple messages. In addition to one-time mode and pausing and resuming, the platform has also improved video message recording on iOS.
