Want To See Eiffel Tower? Here Is A New Way To Book Tickets

The Eiffel Tower is considered the most visited place as it gets 8 million tourists every year.

Indian tourists visiting the Eiffel Tower in Paris can purchase tickets via Unified Payments Interface (UPI) mechanism. Indian Ambassador to France, Jawed Ashraf stated that the Eiffel Tower is considered the most visited place as it gets 8 million tourists every year and has now been set up to accept UPI payments in Indian Rupees (INR) that will help build a global image of UPI transactions, as per CNBC News.

Now visitors can witness the spirit of the Paris Olympics 2024 with UPI for online ticket bookings at the iconic Eiffel Tower’s official website. Once the booking is made online, those who are planning to travel to Europe have to simply follow the steps on the website to book Eiffel Tower tickets via UPI. Eiffel Tower’s website has a UPI section for Indian citizens to make payments.

The amount total will be shown as in Indian Rupee and the National Payments Corporation of India converts the money to Euro, stated Abhishek Joshi, Business Developer at Lyra, according to CNBC News. Visitors can also make UPI payments at several shopping spots and iconic places like Paridian Store Galeries Lafayette in Paris.

The UPI service will be extended to other tourist spots and other retail spaces as well. This will help Indian citizens to seamlessly shop and book tickets, hotel rooms and many more. In February 2023, Lyra Network released its plan to bring UPI to other tourist spots in France taking it as a transformative milestone catering to business and another retail sector as it made its debut in the iconic Eiffel Tower.

By the end of 2024, the company aims to enter the global space extending partnerships with fintech, merchants, and government projects focusing on customer needs and services as the global real-time payments witness an increase in volume every year.
