Tension rises as the cross-border fighting between Hezbollah and Israel army escalates to next level since the beginning of the war in Gaza. Nine Hezbollah members have been reported killed in a separate attack on Wednesday, reports the Reuters news agency.

This attack came after the airstrike on Tuesday which resulted in the killing of deputy leader of Hamas, Saleh al-Arouri in a drone strike in the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

The Israel military released the video of bombs hitting and destroying several residential buildings situated near to other civilian buildings, reports Al Jazeera. As per Israel military, “launches” has been spotted crossing the Lebanese territory which fell in the open areas in northern Israel Gotten settlement area.

In response to the killing of the Hamas leader, Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah said in a television speech on Wednesday that the killing of Al-Arouri was “a major, dangerous crime about which we cannot be silent”. The Hamas leader’s funeral was scheduled to be held on late Thursday.

Since October 8, the clashes between the Israel army and Hezbollah resulted in the death of dozens of Lebanese civilians and more than 140 Hezbollah members. This exchange has continued escalating to regions in southern Lebanon which lies 200 km away from the Gaza strip.

Nasrullah has already warned Israel for killing Al Arouri and said will respond by doing the same at the time of their choosing. Israel but has not yet taken the responsibility for the attack on Hamas chief.

As the days passes by, the war in Gaza seems further escalating across regions.

It is completely in dark as of how Hezbollah will react to the recent attacks and killings, and what the Israel’s retaliation would be. Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu previously has warned that Beirut will be turned to Gaza if Hezbollah started an all-out war.

Meanwhile, the United Nations has called for restraint and said further uptick in hostilities could be devastating for both the countries. French President Emmanuel Macron has urged Israel not to escalate the war into further regions, he said to “avoid any escalatory attitude, particularly in Lebanon” to avoid the spread of war across Middle East, which in turn will have a devastating effect across the world.
