Gunman Opens Fire In Central Israel, One Killed And Five Wounded
Israel: At least one person was killed and five others sustained injuries after a man allegedly opened fire in three separate areas in central Israel close to the near the occupied West Bank. The victim, a 35-year-old man, died of a gunshot wound, according to Israel’s ambulance service.
The other five sustained serious injuries in the incident. Police said that a suspected shooter in the attack was “neutralized,” but did not provide further details. Israel has deployed large police forces at the shooting sites, and the searches are going on. The police did not immediately identify the suspected shooter.

Calling the incident “a deadly shooting attack,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has conducted a security assessment and is monitoring the situation. Although Palestinian group Hamas did not claim responsibility, the group praised the shooter.
