Hamas resistance group said they are ready to release the hostages they abducted on October 7 in exchange of all the Palestinians held in Israeli prison. In a video statement released by the Hamas run Al Aqsa channel, al-Qassam Brigades spokesperson said, “the price to pay for the large number of enemy hostages in our hands is to empty the (Israeli) prisons of all the Palestinian prisoners”.
Around 229 hostages were under the captive of Hamas resistance group. Earlier, the Al-Qassam Brigades spokesman, Abu Obaida said that around 50 hostages were killed in the Israeli air strikes on Gaza.
He said if the Israeli occupation force wanted to resolve the problem of hostages in one go, Hamas is ready for that and if they want it step by step, they are ready for that too. His words were, “if the enemy wants to close this file of detainees in one go, we are ready for it. If it wants to do it step-by-step, we are ready for that, too”.
At the same time, Israel said they are on the land of Gaza which they declare has now turned into a battle field. Earlier this week, the Israeli Defence Minister, Yoav Gallant said that “we started the offensive from the air. Later on, we will also come from the ground”.
Earlier today, Israeli Defence Force has asked the Palestinians to move to south of Gaza for their own safety. The order has caused confusions and chaos as the alleged “safe zone” has been bombed several times including moments before the message to evacuate.
