Hamas has released a 76-second long video that showed three women hostages, sitting in a plastic chair against white tiled wall. In the video, one among the hostages spoke in rather aggressive tone which was directed at the Israeli Prime Minister. The other two women seemed to agree with what she was saying.

The resistance group referred to the women as “Zionist detainees”. The identity of the women could not be verified initially. Speaking in Hebrew, the women who spoke got agitated while speaking directly addressing Netanyahu.

According to Al Jazeera, this is what she said: “We are bearing the responsibility of your political, security, and military failure on October 7th. There was no army, no one arrived. No one protected us”.

The women also said, “Do you want to kill us? Is it not enough that you killed everyone? Is it not enough the amount of Israeli citizens who were killed?.”

She also added, “Release us now. Release their citizens, release their prisoners, release all of us. Let us go back to our family”. It is not sure whether the hostage’s words were coerced or if it is her actual words.

The Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu called the move as Hamas” “cruel psychological propaganda”.

“This is cruel psychological propaganda by Hamas-ISIS”, said Mr. Netanyahu, as quoted by Al Arabiya.

Taking to X (formerly twitter), the Israeli Prime Minister identified the hostages to be Yelena Trupanob, Daniel Aloni and Rimon Kirsht. He said he “Our hearts go out to you and the other abductees”. He also added that Israel is “doing everything to bring all the kidnapped and missing people home”.

According to Israel media, some 229 Israelis were taken as hostages by Hamas resistance group when they unfurled their “unprecedented” attack on the southern part of occupied State known as Israel. Four hostages were released earlier. Hamas has demanded the release of all Palestinian prisoners in the Israeli jail in exchange of the Israeli hostages under their captive.

According to Palestinian Prisoners Society, more nearly 5000 Palestinian prisoners were held in Israeli jails. when the war started, the occupation force has arrested 1,590 more Palestinians were detained. Among the arrested, around 327 are children including two infants who remain with their mother in the prison. total of 73 women are in Israeli prison. Apart from this, around 1,800 Palestinians are detained without any charges. They were taken under “administrative detention”, says Al Jazeera.
