Hamas To Release Names Of 4 Israeli Hostages To Be Released: Report

Hamas, the resistance group of Gaza, is expected to hand over the names of four Israeli hostages, who are in their custody, to Israel. It is expected that the hostages will probably be female soldiers and civilians. The Israeli hostages will be freed in exchange of 180Palestinians held captives in Israeli prisons.

This will be the second exchange between Hamas and Israel since the much awaited ceasefire deal was reached after one and half years of brutal war on Gaza. Three Israelis were released in exchange of 90 Palestinians during the first round of exchange deal.

Reportedly, Hamas is expected to provide information on the remaining 26 hostages who are due to be released during the coming five weeks. It is not clarified if the information provided will include names of the hostages or just numbers of those who are living or dead.

The ceasefire deal between Hamas and Israel reached after several rounds of reaching a near-end negotiations between the two, which were mediated by US, Qatar, and Egypt.

The ceasefire deal will have three stages, with 1,900 Palestinians in Israeli prisons is expected to be released in exchange of 30 Israeli hostages.

According to Times Of Israel, Israel expects Hamas to release Arbel Yehud tomorrow, along with three more of the seven female hostages still in captivity. The others are Shiri Silberman Bibas, 33; Liri Albag, 19; Karina Ariev, 20; Agam Berger, 21; Danielle Gilboa, 20 and Naama Levy, 20.

While Yehud and Silberman Bibas are both civilians, Albag, Ariev, Berger, Gilboa and Levy are soldiers.

For each of the female soldiers under Hamas captivity are released, Israel will release 50 Palestinians taken as captives in Israeli prisons. 30 of them would be those serving life sentences.

The war started after Hamas launched a surprise attack on Tel Aviv on October 7th, 2023. Over 1000 Israelis were killed, most whom were afraid to be civilians. Hamas also took more than 200 Israelis as hostages including soldiers. The Hamas attack came as a result of decades long Israeli occupation on the indigenous people of Palestine, and the chock-hold restriction on their everyday movements.

Israel, them launched brutal and bloody war on Gaza, which killed more than 47,000, and injured more a million. More than 80 percentage of Palestinians are displaced.
