Israeli military said a missile was launched into central Israel from Yemen. Reportedly, the missile fell into an agricultural field near the central Israeli city of Lod. Shrapnel from interceptor missiles also hit a train station in the city of Modi’in, causing damage, reported Israel’s Ynet News.
After the attack on central Israel, a drone attack was reported on northern Metula. Both the attack caused no casualties.
In a post shared on X, Houthi spokesman Nasruddin Amer apparently claimed the attack on central Israel earlier this morning. Amer said Israeli air forces shot 20 interceptors at the Yemeni projectile but failed to take it down.
He said “its the beginning”. In a separate post he said that, “The air defences failed and the Yemeni missile reached, thanks be to God. Previously drones and now the missiles, all of which reached without any obstacles. The future holds much much more”.
Amer also added that he was waiting for a statement from the Houthi armed forces.

Israeli medics said nine people were “lightly injured” while rushing to protected areas during the missile attack that landed on east of Tel Aviv.
Houthis said its forces carried out a “military operation targeting a military target” in Jaffa, using “a new hypersonic ballistic missile that succeeded in reaching its target”.
Yahya Saree, the spokesperson of Houthi military, held a news conference and said that the missile attack on Israel, used a new hypersonic ballistic missile, which could not be intercepted.
The missile that hit Israel was a rare case, as most of the attack on Tel Aviv was intercepted by its Iron Dome, the advanced air defence system.
Saree said the missile covered a distance of 2,040km (1,268 miles) in 11-and-a-half minutes, causing two million Israelis to flee to shelters “for the first time in the enemy’s history”.

He also warned Israel that more significant operations are on its way, as it going to be one year since Israel started to bomb Gaza, following Hamas attack on Israel on October 7th.
In a statement released, Israel military said the missile launched by the Houthis early on Sunday at Israeli territory “most likely fragmented in mid-air”.
The statement said several interception attempts were made. The results of the attempt of interception, and the entire incident is being reviewed, read the statement.
Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of Israel, said “we are exacting a heavy price for any attempt to ha rm us”.
On a separate incident, the Iran-aligned militant group of Iran, Hezbollah said it hit Israeli soldiers at the Matla site with a suicide drone. Another suicide drone targeted a “technical system” at the al-Malikiyah site and destroyed it, said Al Jazeera.
