Iran Declares 40 Days Of Mourning Following Ali Khamenei's Killing

Tehran, Iran: Following Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s Killing in US-Israel attack on Saturday, Iran has declared 40 days of public mourning in the country.

Iran also announced seven days of public holidays. Thousands of Iranians have taken to the street to mourn the death of their leader.

Across the world, Shia Muslims have expressed anger over the killing of Ayatollah Khamenei. Shias in Iraq have conducted protest marches, while Shia Muslims in India, especially in Jammu and Kashmir, also gathered to mark their grief.

Kashmiri Shia Muslims gathered in Srinagar areas including Lal Chowk and Saida Kadal and protested the assassination of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei by Israel and the United States, raising slogans and waving images of Khamenei during large gatherings and peaceful marches from various localities.
