“No One On The List Made It Past The Age Of 4”, Rapper Redveil’s Call For Palestine

The American rapper and songwriter Marcus Morton on Sunday took his program stage to display a list of Palestinian children who were killed by the Israeli defence forces amid the ongoing Israel-Palestine war and called for an immediate ceasefire on the Gaza Strip. He urged fans to shout “Free Palestine” slogans and said that “no one in the list made it past the age of four”.

Marcus Mortan, better known by his stage name Redveil, put a strong statement about the ongoing violence. A footage from the program went viral soon and it shows a long, fast-scrolling list of names projected on the screen behind Mr Redveil. “Behind me is a list of names of Palestinians that’s been killed in Gaza since October 7”, he said while an instrumental was playing behind. “No one in the list made it past the age of four”, he added.

He pressed his fans a “Free Palestine” chant and demanded a ceasefire at the CeasefireToday.com during the musical program. The Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival 2023 took place Saturday and Sunday at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles and was broadcasted live via Amazon Prime and Twitch.

Marcus Morton is an American rapper, songwriter, and record producer from Prince George”s County, Maryland. He produces most of his own instrumentals, occasionally also making beats for other artists. He has self-released three albums, Bittersweet CryNiagara, and Learn 2 Swim, as well as one EP, Playing w/ Fire.

The war is on its sixth week and the Israeli forces are fighting in the center of Gaza City. According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, more than 11,000 people have been killed in Gaza alone in air and artillery strikes by the Israel defence force since October 7. Heartbreakingly, the count includes more than 4,000 children and around 3,000 women.

As said by the UNICEF, the United Nations International Children”s Emergency Fund, more than 700,000 children have been displaced and forced to leave everything behind in Gaza. Considering the situation, the organisation called for an immediate ceasefire for “sustained and unimpeded access to provide assistance and safe release of all abducted children”.

As said by Israel, Hamas are using Hospitals as instruments of war. Even though Israel is experiencing global pressure for an immediate ceasefire and restoration of peace on the Strip, Tel Aviv is not ready to stop striking the city, irrespective of hospitals and refugee camps, until the whole Hamas held hostages are let free.
