The college of pharmacy at Qatar University received accreditation certificate from Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP). The accreditation was given for both the Bachelor’s program and the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) Program.
Dr Wayne Hindmarch, CEO of the CCAP and Dean Emeritus for the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Toronto visited the College of Pharmacy at Qatar University and presented the accreditation certificate. The event was graced by the presence of Professor Mohamed Izham, Dean of the college of Pharmacy at Qatar University, officials from Health Clusters, and faculty and administrators from the college.
These accreditation certificates underscore the college’s steadfast dedication to upholding the highest educational standards and excellence standards and, excellence in pharmaceutical disciplines and its also solidifies the college’s position as a frontrunner in pharmaceutical education within the region. This certificate is the highest level of recognition that CCAPP can award to new programs in the formative stage of development.
They received this honour as a result of its commitment to providing distinguished education to its students. This event also celebrates the relentless dedication and hard work of the faculty, staff and students at the College of Pharmacy.
The CCAPP grands accreditation awards to pharmacy and the Pharmacy technicians’ program that meet the Standards set by CCAPP and to promote continues improvement of those educational programs for pharmacy practitioners and pharmacy technicians.
Based on the CCAPP Board meeting held in June 2018, the College of Pharmacy, Qatar University is granted the maximum period of 5 years for renewal of accreditation for both the programs.
