Palestinians on Friday fled northern Gaza to the southern part after Israel military orders around one million people to evacuate as a ground attack from Israel looms. United Nations warned that evacuating almost half of the highly populated Palestine city would be heavily catastrophic and better Israel could avoid the operation.

As the conflict became a week-old war, around 1,900 have been killed inside the territory, says Gaza Health Ministry. More than 1300 Israelis also lost their life. In the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Health Ministry reported 16 Palestinians killed on Friday, adding the total number of Palestinians killed there since Hamas’ rampage to 51.

Israel sent airstrikes throughout the day to the city, but meanwhile Hamas told citizens to ignore the evacuation orders. More than 70 dead as warplanes hit cars fleeing south, reported the Associated Press. According to Israeli military, they have conducted several search operations to find the 150 hostages, took by Hamas from Israel on the initial day of the conflict, Saturday. They will continue searching underground Hamas hideouts around the Gaza city. Hamas said that the Israel airstrikes killed 13 of the hostages in the past day, a claim rejected by Israel.

Palestinians as well as Egyptian leaders are in constant fear, whether the attempt by Israel is to completely displace the Gaza people by pushing them out through the southern border with Egypt. People in Hamas remains unable to trace a safe ground anywhere around and hospital staffs are reluctant to abandon their patients. Gaza is already sealed off from food, water, fuel, electricity, and medical supplies.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in his Friday night speech asserted that they are determined to destroy Hamas at any cost. “This is only the beginning”, he said. Kenya joined in solidarity with Israel and condemned the terrorism and attacks. “There exists no justification whatsoever for terrorism”, said President William Ruto. Kuwait “categorically” rejected the forced Israeli evacuation order, which leave around one million Palestinians in the north Strip stranded amidst the dangers of Israeli ground operations. At least two Palestinians were injured, one of them seriously, following reported raids by Israeli forces on two refugee camps in the city of Jericho in the occupied West Bank, says Al Jazeera.
