UAE Billionaire Announces Dh50,000 Marriage Grant To Citizens; Double Financial Support For Newborns Within 2 Years

Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Dubai billionaire Khalaf Al Habtoor has announced a Dh50,000 marriage grant to young UAE nationals who are working at Al Habtoor Group and plan to get married. The founder and chairman of Al Habtoor Group said he wanted to support them to build stable families.

The businessman, while announcing the grant, also said that the financial support will be doubled within two years upon, while highlighting the importance of building families.

In a social media post on X, the Emirati billionaire said that  marriage and growing a family are not merely personal matters but societal and national responsibilities, as nations are built and communities sustained through them.

“Our governments do not fall short in supporting youth at the beginning of their family lives. But encouraging UAE nationals to marry and grow a family requires practical initiatives from everyone,” Habtoor wrote, pledging that he would support every Emirati young man or woman working at Al Habtoor Group who decides to marry this year with Dh50,000, and a double support upon the birth of each child within the following two years.

Notably, nearly 15 per cent of the UAE’s population are estimated to be working at Al Habtoor Group, which has publicly expressed strong commitments to Emiratisation, with Chairman aiming for increased national employment by prioritizing UAE nationals.
