The Israel – Palestine war is nowhere near to its end. The apocalyptic humanitarian catastrophe is continuing to grow in the trapped enclave of Gaza. As the Israeli occupation force is continuing its aggression from land, sea and air, violence escalates between Israel and Lebanon’s Hezbollah. The cross-border firing is continuing.
Hezbollah fired at least eight missiles at Ma’alot-Tarshiha, city of northern Israel, as said by The Times of Israel. Footages circulating on social media showed the missiles being intercepted by Israel’s Iron Dome air defence system, while some managed to get past the Iron Dome. No reports of injuries were released yet.
The Iran backed Hezbollah and Israel has been engaged in the worst violence since the beginning of the current war. Earlier, senior Hezbollah politician, Hassan Fadlallah told Reuters in a statement that the air strikes from Israel were “new escalation” and the militant group is responding accordingly be it “with the nature of the weapons or the targeted sites”.
Apart from pummelling Gaza Strip with ferocious bombing, the occupation force is forcing mass detaining on the civilians of Gaza. The latest report from the war ground says, around 142 female prisoners, including elderly and children are taken to prison including Damon and Hasharon, said Palestine’s Commission for Detainees’ Affairs. The prisoners were detained during Israel’s ground invasion on Gaza.
Meanwhile, the death toll of Palestinians since October 7 is nearing to 18,000, where as the revised death toll of Israel since the October 7th is 1,147. Among the total of 17,997 Palestinians killed by Israel, 7,729 were children and 5,153 were women. While this has been the case of Gaza, the Israeli aggression on occupied West Bank has killed nearly 275 Palestinians including 63 children, as said by Palestinian Health Ministry.
