On Wednesday, a devastating incident resulted in the loss of at least 10 lives and injured 30 more on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, Louisiana. According to city officials, a vehicle deliberately drove into crowds on Bourbon Street at high speed, causing widespread chaos and destruction in the city.

Eyewitnesses reported that the driver exited the vehicle and began firing a weapon that prompted police to return fire.

The incident befell at 3:15 am on January 01 at the intersection of Bourbon Street and Iberville. The accident was reported as intentional and the driver has not yet been arrested by the Police. As per the reports, Bourbon Street which is popular for its nightlife and cheer, has been halted and closed off for further investigation.

New Orleans Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness (NOHSEP), posted on X stating, “There has been a mass casualty incident on Canal and Bourbon Street. Get yourself away from the area.”
