The politician became prey to criticism after report emerged alleging her having an affair with her adopted son. Reportedly, the 45-year-old Prapaporn Choeiwadkoh was caught by her husband having an affair with her 24-year-old son, Phra Maha, who is also a monk.
As per report from South China Morning Post (SCMP), the husband, who was identified as Ti, drove for five hours and caught the woman red handed. The report said that the husband has been suspicious of the affair and devised a plan to catch them. The couple adopted Maha from a temple last year after Choeiwadkoh said she felt sorry for him. Maha is on the run, report adds.
Social media users in Thailand and some neighbouring counties were shocked to hear the news. One X user remarked, “a 64-year-old husband, a 45-year-old wife, and a 24-year-old adopted son who is a monk? This is such a mess. It sounds more like keeping a boy-toy rather than adoption. Even dramas don’t dare to script this”.
Another user said, “this news is explosive, with too many elements. It sounds like pure fiction. The world of the wealthy is indeed fascinating and chaotic.”
Reportedly, a video of the alleged politician also surfaced on social media platforms which was said to be recorded by Ti. In the video, the man who were shooting was heard asking “are you two happy?”, and the women was heard defending herself, as per the media report.
Prapaporn Choeiwadkoh is a renowned politician from Sukhothai of central Thailand. She is currently serving as the president of the local chamber of commerce. She has been a member of Democrat Party since March last year. She has been suspended from the party pending an investigation into the scandal.
