“I Regret Every Minute I Spent With Him”: Bill Gates Responds To Epstein Claims
Bill Gates has said he deeply regrets his past association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
His comments come after new documents linked to the Epstein investigation were released by the US Justice Department.
Speaking to 9News Australia, Gates said, “Every minute I spent with him, I regret, and I apologise.” He also strongly denied allegations made in the newly released files.
The documents, released last week, include emails involving Epstein and several well-known public figures. One draft email attributed to Epstein contains allegations against Gates, including claims of extramarital affairs and drug use.

Gates rejected these claims outright. He said the email was never sent and called the allegations false. “That email is false,” Gates said. “I don’t know what his thinking was. Was he trying to attack me in some way?”
A spokesperson for Gates also denied the claims. The spokesperson said the documents only show Epstein’s frustration over not having an ongoing relationship with Gates.
According to the statement, Epstein tried to entrap and defame Gates after failing to secure continued access to him.
Gates explained that he met Epstein for the first time in 2011. He said they had several dinners over a period of three years. Gates added that the meetings were focused on fundraising for global health causes.
“He knew a lot of very rich people and said he could help raise money for global health,” Gates said. “In retrospect, that was a dead end.”

Melinda French Gates also reacted to the release of the documents. Speaking to US National Public Radio, she said the revelations brought back painful memories from her marriage.
“For me, it’s personally hard whenever those details come up,” she said. She added that unanswered questions should be addressed by those involved, including her former husband.
“They need to answer to those things, not me,” she said.
Bill and Melinda Gates divorced in 2021 after 27 years of marriage.
Gates has previously said he never visited Epstein’s private Caribbean island and denied having any inappropriate relationships.
Jeffrey Epstein died by suicide in prison in 2019 while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.
